Accoya® Balconies on Show at Prestigious Berkeley Development in Kent
Berkeley Homes have chosen Accoya® juliet balconies for their striking ‘New England’ style development in Holborough, Kent.
The balconies are featured as a major design element in the prestiguous development of 200+ homes.
Recent use of timber in balconies has been severely restricted by a rigorous NHBC durability requirement for a 60 year minimum design life. The projects success was based on a BSW project, in conjunction with BRE, to assess Accoya® were a 60 year minimum balcony service life is required. The work reached a clear conclusion on the materials suitability.
The balconies were finished with a factory applied SIkkens coating.
